Electronic Brokerage Service
An Electronic Brokerage Service (EBS) is being put in place to open up 2012 Games supply chain opportunities to businesses throughout the UK. Any company wanting to be considered as a supplier into the 2012 Olympics will need to register on the EBS website as this will be the only access route to tendering opportunities.
The EBS will go live at the end of the year and any businesses that try to register but don't meet the required criteria for registration will be referred to BLNW for help.
Prior to the EBS going live, the NWDA want to run a pilot with a small number of ‘friendly' companies to prove the system. We are being asked to put forward any companies that we know of that would be interested in winning 2012 supply contracts and that would be amenable to taking part in the pilot. This would involve them attending the BLNW offices in Preston for a couple of hours in 3-4 weeks time, to listen to and to be able to question the NWDA on 2012 procurement issues and then to actually go through the registration process in our IT Training Suite. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Can you please give this your serious consideration and let me know asap if you know of any suitable businesses for the pilot.
